Sabetha Methodist Church in Sabetha exists because we believe that God is doing a continued work in the world through the body of the church.

The church is one in Christ there are many parts that make up the whole body. These parts are distinct in geographic and historic locations.

We recognize God's work of manifesting the Kingdom of God in the church of yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

All Christians, regardless of location, time, or diversity are united through the loving agency of God. 

Finally, God's presence, power, and love are necessary amid the crisis of human existence.

 

We exist because of a shared belief in the person and agency of God

  • One God [self-revealing] as the Trinity: Father, Son and Holy Spirit, distinct but inseperable, eternally one in essence and power.

  • Jesus Christ is the perfect union of God and Humanity. Nurtured in the water of the womb and conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit.

  • Jesus Christ through the resurrection appertains both perfect natures and intercedes eternally as the Savior and Mediator of humanity.

  • Holy Spirit works simultaneously with the Father and the Son to convince the world of sin, righteousness and judgment.

  • Holy Spirit works simultaneously with the Father and the Son to engage, encourage, and entrust humanity with God's life and love.
